I really love the Blue Burst now, although at first I just thought it was okay.

Your kit still remains one of my favorite Gretsch kits on this forum.

Basically having both, I gotta say no way. I was shocked that you were flipping these so quickly. Once you're lucky enough to own one of these Purewood kits, it's not likely you would sell it so quickly.

I totally agree. I have a 22 kick and that thing is MONSTROUS! That's what sold the kit for me, I get compliments all the time of how deep and full my bass drum sounds, (Once someone even said "did a bomb just go off? Holy ****!.") Just an EMAD and a small towel in there and it sounds perfect. I find I don't have to mess around with tuning a lot either, that big ballzy sound is just naturally in there. And the 14 can handle a lot of low end, without going out of tune and sounding floppy. Renowns are just swell.
