Mine are also tuned and ready for tommorrow nights rehearsal. I played yesterday and will probably go to it again tonight. Watching Ian Paice on youtube makes me want to practice more!

Mine (MX)are in varied states of disassembly..Prepping for a refinish job!

I saw that! Since that is your current kit; it suprised me to see it all wood. The old wrap on it wasn't bad; but I guess the project will help time go by until D-Day! What did you decide? Laquer?

brother, my wife will NOT allow me to sell/buy anymore.

I have settled into two really awesome kits. I can't see parting with these awesome MXs. I think I am going to go for a gloss natural finish! The grain on the rack tom and floor tom is absolutely GORGEOUS! I removed the Hi-Bond tape residue with mineral spirits completely from the 14" RT and just the mineral spirits made the wood grain just explode! Check my refinish thread for a few more pics in a minute. I am heading there now to post them.

The clocks are still off here due to daylight savings fall back. I saw the 14" and the 16" again and voted for the Laquer. I think the 2 tricks would be; 1. the right stain and 2. multi multi layers of high gloss. I didn't do very well in shop when I was a kid though.

All pix on that thread are the 14. The 16 FT has almost a flame figured grain pattern,,It's insanely beautiful!

I do like that Rhythm King. I believe that it's Cherry Wood. The Pure White Wrap is killer ftw!!!

It looks more like an art object than a drum kit. Jeff Healie's drummer had a kit from these guys.......... This looks rock ready!! This Markley looks good in 8 ply Maple.........
